We are looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our Destinations and Venues market sector, that delivers Facilities Management (FM) services to retail destinations, venues and events. Reporting directly to the Head of Bid Management, you will be responsible for responding to tenders (including pre-qualification), leading the bid process, proactively engaging stakeholders and ensuring tender compliance. Every bid will be a new challenge to understand what makes the client tick, to work closely with colleagues as a team and to help create a strategy that makes us stand out in the highly competitive FM market. This is not a copy and paste role and will instead require hard work, creativity and collaboration with colleagues and experts across the business. You can choose where you base yourself, working from home, from a local OCS office, or client site. It depends on your preferred way of working, although the role will occasionally require nationwide travel. This is an exciting role in a growth sector of OCS and will require visiting high-profile locations across our contract portfolio at international arenas, stadiums, shopping centres and museums up and down the country, including the NEC Group, Manchester City FC, Aston Villa FC, Manchester Arndale and Westfield Stratford City. Responsibilities will include:
Required experience: Personal attributes: What will you get in return? Why join us? You will be working for a fifth-generation family business that was formed in 1900 as a window cleaning business and has today grown into one of the largest FM providers in the UK. As a family company, we place a clear focus on employee wellbeing¸ not only because it’s the right thing to do but also because if everyone is happy and motivated, this translates to great service for our clients. We are also a responsible business. We are one of the few FM businesses in the UK that is debt-free. We are socially responsible. We are a member of the Living Wage Foundation, the first FM company to join the Slave-Free Alliance, and we are committed to becoming Net Zero Carbon by 2040 (across all three scopes). As a company, we work hard to improve lives, whether it’s giving people a way out of long-term unemployment through our sector-based work academies, reducing our environmental impact, or charitable work in collaboration with our clients
