We have an opportunity for an Inhouse Employment Paralegal to join our team. You'll be based within the Company's HR Centre of Excellence working directly with the In-House Employment Solicitor and Head of Employment Legal at Trafford Bank House in Manchester The role would be ideally suited to someone with previous experience in employment law (or studied it as part of the LPC) or an employment law legal secretary with specific experience providing support in respect of non-contentious and contentious areas of employment law, however, training will be provided if necessary Responsibilities will include: Assisting with routine and complex employment tribunals, drafting responses, creating bundles, corresponding with the tribunal, and conducting research. Conducting research on various points of law and basic drafting of documentation, correspondence, and advice. Liaising and communicating with internal stakeholders providing advice in relation to various matters. Assisting with employment aspects of service provision changes. Providing support on various legal projects. Providing ad hoc administrative support as and when required to the in-house Employment Solicitor. Assisting with workshops, seminars, and newsletters.
Qualifications and Experience required: 2.1 degree in law or equivalent LPC Graduate/ CILEX or proven experience in the area Some experience in a paralegal role/Legal secretary in employment law would be advantageous Ability to manage own workload and demonstrate initiative. Ability to receive instructions accurately and complete them within the required timescales with excellent attention to detail. Strong communicator both verbally and in written form.
