We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our Laundry & Logistics Department.

You will lead and manage the Health & Safety, Training, O-licence and Security Programme for Central Way and also provide strategic and support services in respect of Laundry, Re-cycling and Warehousing for systems and processes and best practice

You will maintain, monitor and review health and safety policies, practices and procedures across the Laundry and Logistics operation whilst working closely with the OD and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in ensuring consistent compliance.

You will also ensure the Health & Safety and Environmental standards, security and other compliance with the business area are maintained and enhanced along with ensuring that the site is correctly listed by the CAA for supply of In-Flight Supplies

Responsibilities will include:

Lead, develop and motivate effective large operational teams that will deliver a cost effective and quality service to wide variety of clients, particularly customer Airlines and prospective Airlines.

Lead, develop and maintain the Customer orders which will not impact airline passengers, communication is key with stakeholders

Ensure that efficient processes and procedures are maintained to meet industry, clients, and corporate standards.

Work closely with colleagues in the Operations, HSQE, Security, Engineering, Finance, Commercial and Shared Services, and with outsource partners and suppliers.

Ensure that staff are engaged and that open 2-way communication channels are developed and delivered and sustained across the business area.

Ensure that we take a proactive and participative approach to Trade Unions where they are recognised and work the elected staff- groups where they are not.

Identify and actively support the development of talent and succession for key roles of the people

Education required.

Relevant professional membership preferred.

Working experience/Personal attributes:

Extensive experience in general management and/ or senior functional leadership position delivering services in a Logistics, Laundry, Transport environment.

To have successfully carried out commercial management functions on a diverse range of contracts/projects- experience in the Laundry and Warehousing business is essential and experience of Aviation sector would be highly advantageous.

In depth experience of managing budgets and business planning.

Experience of procurement, vendor, and supplier management.

Numerate, ability to collate, verify and manage cost and evaluate information.

Experience of leadership in a health and safety, security, transport and/or compliance related role or working in a heavily regulated environment.

Proven experience of having delivered benefits form major change initiatives and projects with experience of project planning. Experience of processes improvement such as Lean 6 Sigma.

Ideally some experience of people mobilisations and de-mobilisations and TUPE.

Ideally some experience of ER/IR and proactive approach to Trade Union relationships.

Understanding of and experience of working with Regulators and building proactive relationships, e.g. HSE, CAA, DFT, Police, VOSA and AAIB.

Exceptional leadership skills to provide direction, support, influence and mentoring to a team of managers.

Able to balance the continual and conflicting needs of clients and resources and prioritise activities effectively where required.
