We have an opportunity for a Communications Officer who is passionate about people and understands how keeping colleagues engaged can have an impact on personal and business performance.

You will have some experience of developing and supporting the implementation of internal communication strategies, campaigns, and projects for internal audiences. You will have experience being involved with engaging, high quality, on-brand materials that embody organisational culture and make employees feel good about where they work

This is a hands-on role providing support on a multi-sited, high-profile Government contract.

You will be home based with some requirement or UK travel 

Responsibilities will include:

Overall responsibility to support the delivery of the internal communications, engagement strategy and culture change for this contract.

Act as brand guardian to protect both OCS and HMCTS brands across the contract, ensuring that branding guidelines are always clearly explained and followed

Approve all imagery used in OCS communications on the contract to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and GDPR regulations (working with the data protection team when necessary)

Work closely with colleagues across all business streams and functional areas to produce interesting and informative newsletters, intranet content, toolbox talks, management briefings aimed at increasing employee engagement

Create engaging materials to communicate outcomes and results of customer satisfaction and employee surveys

Be familiar with communications protocols in relation to media interest, Freedom of Information requests and negative social media mentions, acting as directed by the HR Manager and in accordance with guidance contained in the Communications and Engagement Management Plan

Work with the Quality & Performance Manager and Data & Insights Analyst to prompt and record activity across the contract around delivering social value, reporting this back through a range of communications channels

Qualifications and Experience required:

Has, or is willing to undertake further personal career development towards a qualification with Institute of Internal Communications, Chartered Institute of Marketing or Chartered Institute of Public Relations
Previous experience within an employee engagement or communications role or has elements of this in their current role
Proven experience of creating / writing internal communication via variety of tools, including social media
Experience of working in a fast-paced, multi-sited environment
Able to think creatively, responding to business activities and seeking opportunities to maximise colleague engagement and promote culture change
An engaging communicator, with a strong command of both written and verbal communication, suitable for all audiences
Ability to utilise technologies to deliver creative and varied communications initiatives
Experience of using Microsoft applications, incl. Office 365
FM industry experience is advantageous although not essential
