We are looking to recruit two assistants to join our reception/events team on a part time basis working 20 hours per week. 

Ideally, we are looking for both a morning and afternoon shift , with some flexibility , however core working hours are between 07.30am until 6pm 

The main purpose of the role is to assist with the day-to-day task involved with working within a busy reception and events service. To become a part of a team and to deliver a professional and effect services to the client and building users. 

While you may be based within the reception area the role will be one that can enable an employee to cover all areas within the team and other areas within the contract 

Main Duties: 

Communicating with the client and staff in the building to coordinate tasks, always liaising with line manager/ Supervisor.

To assist and understand the role of the other team on the contract and to help within them when required this is to provide cover with both departments during periods of leave or sickness and to assist during busy period.

Duties could include helping to set up for catering events and assisting the catering team

Room layout including moving tables and chairs

Testing lighting, microphones and screens

Approving room bookings 

To be successful in the role, you will need:

Good written and verbal communication and administration skills 

Confidence in speaking to others in a professional environment.

Proven team working skills. 

Previous experience working in a busy environment with constant demands on time.

To display a positive and professional attitude

To ensure that all clients and customers are dealt with promptly and courteously.

Develop and maintain positive contact with customers.

Deal with concerns and complaints promptly of the role!

Attention to detail essential.

To be physically fit to carry out some lifting duties. 

IT knowledge of word and excel important.
