To work as a team, responsible for the efficient and timely preparation, delivery and quality service of all food and beverages to our Patients, Clients and Guests.

 

Main Duties:

  • Interact directly with patients and clinical staff.
  • Receive, check, sort and store supplied products as directed.
  • Load meals into an oven as required.
  • Complete and record all required temperature checks.
  • Serve all food and beverages at the specified times and in the appropriate quantities.
  • Serve food and beverages direct to patients
  • Assist with the collection and washing up of cutlery, crockery and trays
  • Preparation of sandwiches, Salads and beverages as and if  required
  • Ensure that tables, chairs, floors and the service area are kept clean and tidy.Ensure that Patient and clients receive a prompt and courteous service at all times.
  • Ensure personal appearance, including uniform, are of the highest standard at all times in line with company policy.
  • Ensure sound knowledge of the food to be served daily, together with the appropriate garnish and portion size.
  • To comply with company and client policies of quality and standards of catering

 

 

 

Health & Safety accountabilities:

  • Communicate regularly with colleagues through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and that morale remains high.
  • Ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions and those of your colleagues.
  • Ensure that personal H&S competence and skill level is maintained i.e. attended Managing Safety programme and other Company safety events.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure that work activities are properly managed and supervised.
  • Raise any concerns over Health & Safety breaches in accordance with Company Procedure.

 

Critical Performance Measures (CPMs) / Objectives:

  • Customer Service
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 - Food Hygiene certificate within the first three months of employment.
  • Client and Patient interaction
  • Compliance with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene responsibilities

 

To be successful in the role, you will need:

 

  • Experience of working in a hospital environment, would be desirable but is not essential
