We are looking for a Soft Services Team Leader to take responsibility for the cleaning team, delivering excellent Customer Service by ensuring all requests from users within the Royal Papworth Hospital are executed in a timely, accurate and professional manner all within the agreed service level requirements. Being data driven service to better identify operational failures. Using data to ensure a higher quality of service. Supporting the Soft Services Supervisor to develop and evolve policies, systems, and protocols to maximise the utilisation of the physical resources across the site.

Main Duties:

  • Develop good working practices and relationships to support staff. To include engagement, motivation, discipline, safety and general welfare of the staff under their leadership.
  • Provide initial line of escalation both for customers and staff for all cleaning related queries.
  • Issue and delegate information provided by Soft Services Supervisor to the staff.
  • Identify, address, tackle, and resolve operational Cleaning issues.
  • Take proactive approach to your daily working life. Support the staff on site and prevent issues from arising by identifying the trends and training needs.
  • Ensure high visibility of leadership on site through being operationally based on relevant area in order to support your staff hands on.
  • Provide a summary report of your team’s performance for the Soft Services Supervisor.
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote and demonstrate superior Customer Service in accordance with the department and company standards.
  • Be responsible and accountable for overall day to day operations of the Cleaning team. .
  • Provide/gather face to face feedback to/from the staff members using the grow model. Deliver team briefs, monthly 121’s and quarterly reviews to ensure an open and honest working relationship with the team members.
  • Ensure that all comments/complaints are fully investigated, and findings reported to the Soft Services Supervisor in a timely manner.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Full Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Cleaning experience with knowledge of infection control in a hospital environment
  • Proven experience of improving team performance
