The main purpose of the role is to assist with all daily catering and reception activities including receiving NHS staff and visitors.

Main Duties:

Provide a professional, friendly, and efficient catering and reception service for all teams/services based in the building and visitors.

Maintain a friendly and professional service with a strong emphasis on providing the highest levels of customer care.

Provide information to visitors, patients and NHS staff in a concise and friendly manner.

Assist with all hospitality setups, services and clear down.

Answer incoming calls and direct calls as required to the relevant teams and departments.

Take messages, deal with appropriate queries, and pass on relevant and accurate information as necessary.

Perform basic administration tasks.

Operate an electronic room booking system.

Log all maintenance requests for the building in the maintenance book and report them to maintenance help desk. Advise SSM of any urgent or emergency situations.

Maintain the environment and ensure notice boards and leaflet racks are stocked and current.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

Basic literacy and numeracy skills

NVQ – Administration (preferred)

NVQ – Customer Service (preferred)

SIA Licence (preferred)

Strong customer services skills and experience
