To assist the Client Account Manager in the management of the Cambridge shire County Council Civil Parking Enforcement Contract. To monitor the day to day operations and performance of all staff, ensuring patrols are carried our efficiently and effectively, conducting on street checks, checking staff patrol logs to ensure maximum area coverage during their shift, this will at times require you to conduct patrols and enforce and will at times involve weekend working.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role

  • Manage CPE Parking Contract in compliance with the requirements of the TMA 2004
  • Engage in the teaching/training and development of staff employed on parking operations
  • Management of operational staff including welfare, HR functions
  • Monitoring individual performance
  • Ensure deployment meets KPI’s
  • Ensure suspensions are placed and removed in line with client timescales
  • Conduct appraisals/job chats on a quarterly basis
  • Deputise for the CAM during their absence
  • Build and maintain relations with client and key client staff
  • Ensure the team is deployed in a timely manner and fully briefed for the performance of their duties
  • Ensure duties are planned in advance
  • Monitor performance of beat areas to identify changes in enforcement activity
  • Monitor staff performance and take corrective action where necessary

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A thorough understanding in the use of Microsoft word and excel functions
  • Previous experience within the parking industry
  • Previous Management/Supervisory experience
  • As a minimum some experience within the parking industry ideally relating to TMA 2004 operations
  • Experience of people management and HR
  • Previous experience in training staff
  • Proactive approach and able to prioritise tasks and manage workload
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Must be flexible to the demands of the role. Able to work outside of normal office hours
