To work as a member of the on site team, to help set and maintain the highest quality of service to our client for Security, Portering and reception services.

Your main responsibilities may also include:

  • Work with the multi-disciplinary team in providing a supportive working environment.
  • To promote a professional and friendly image of both OCS and CNWL.
  • To provide exceptional first line manned guarding to the assigned contract.
  • Compliance with all identified legislation, i.e. H&S, SIA Licensing & Risk Assessments.
  • To protect the security and safety of the identified buildings and personnel, All duties must be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
  • Comply with all assigned Site, Security Assignment Instructions.
  • Provide Cover for the site reception and switchboard as and when required.
  • Answer the telephone, take messages, deal with appropriate queries and pass on relevant and accurate information as necessary.
  • General clerical duties to include Photocopying, faxing and the use of a computer and franking machine as required.
  • Check, maintain and set up meeting rooms in accordance with daily requirements
  • Conduct general building security patrols.
  • Receive and Deliver goods to the Wards, offices and departments as required.
  • Respond to all building and personal alarms.
  • Collect and deliver outgoing and incoming mail and parcel post.
  • Remove or relocate furniture and or equipment as requested.
  • Clear and Maintain all external pathways including, open internal gardens and courtyards, to ensure a clean, pleasant and safe environment.
  • Other duties commensurate with the role as requested by OCS Management and the Site Supervisor.
  • In the performance of their duties, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, NHS staff and other healthcare workers.  All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

  • Education to GCSE/ ‘O’ level
  • Previous experience within a busy reception security environment would be advantageous
  • SIA Licence is required for this position
  • First Aid is preferrable
  • Fire Training is preferrable
  • NVQ – Customer Service is preferrable
