Overall purpose of the role:  

The main purpose of the role is to ensure the safe transfer of Passengers with Restricted Mobility (PRM) through the airport terminal in a timely manner, providing mobility assistance and enabling passengers to enjoy all aspects of the airport experience.   

We are looking for a customer focused and friendly individual to join our team of workers and help create a memorable experience for every visitor to the airport.  

Main Duties:  

  • Meet and greet arriving/departing/transferring Passengers with Restricted Mobility (PRM)  

  • Communicate effectively with the passengers and staff  

  • Assist Passengers with Restricted Mobility (PRM) at drop off/pick up points, airline check-In, airport security and pre-boarding aircraft.  

  • In a safely manner, assist in the transfer of passengers from aircraft to airport terminal using various equipment  

  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations.  

  • Use company equipment responsibly ensuring all equipment   

To be successful in the role, you will need:  

  • Customer Service and Airport Environment experience is desirable but not essential  

  • Knowledge of Disability Awareness is desirable but not essential as full training is given  

  • Able to communicate with customers and staff at all levels  

  • Ability to lift passengers in accordance with manual handling guidelines.  

To meet security requirements, you will need:  

  • To provide a detailed reference history – references from last 5 years will be checked by Airport authorities  

  • Pass a basic Criminal Record Check  

  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom  

  • Hold a current/valid Passport and/or UK issued Driving Licence.
