The Supervisor is responsible for the production area assigned to them on the day. They will be responsible for meeting daily targets set by the management team.  They will need to ensure that the staff are trained and comply to company SSOW. All products produced should be quality checked by staff and sample checked by the Supervisor. You will be required to lead a team of operatives to achieve customer, supplier, and regulatory expectations. The Supervisor is to ensure that the daily targets set by management are met and that staff are manged based on performance.

 

The Supervisor will:

 

  • Support the production team on efficiency of work.
  • Work well within the team to prepare and deliver product (In-Flight-Supplies).
  • Always maintain Health and Safety standards. Working in a safe and effective manner, in line with the training that is delivered to you.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
  • Will be required to maintain their areas of work clean and tidy

 

 

Main Duties

 

  • To ensure that all daily checks are carried out before use
  • Liaise with all departments to ensure that products required are available, and prioritise accordingly
  • To brief and allocate staff to tasks
  • To motivate the team so that productivity targets are exceeded, and they are involved in continuous improvement process  
  • To provide regular updates to the assistant manager and escalate any concerns
  • To ensure that all new starters have received appropriate training including initial induction and Safe Systems of Work
